I found this guitar on May 1st on eBay.
It was in my possession around Noon on May 2nd.
I spent most of the day tweeking stuff.
I changed the strings, but still had a little buzz.
I gave the Truss Rod a little twist and it should be alright.

This is some kind of "transitional" Balladeer.
It has a 3-Plank Top, Textured Bowl, and "modern" bridge (not 5-point)
When I bought it I did not realize that it was a 3-Plank top.
But hen I transferred the photos to my computer, that is when I noticed.
Even it My Photos it is hard to tell.

While tweeking the Truss Rod, I added the Glen Campbell TRC.

Well, let's see if I can add some photos. Always an adventure.

First try didn't work... Let's try Rich Text Editor and OFC Album.

Much Better!

Paper Label

Textured Bowl

I added the Glen Campbell TRC

Kluson Tuners and Skunk Stripe

Very little Fret Wear for a 47 year-old guitar.

And I was trying to get a photo of the 3-Plank Top, but I doubt that you can see it.

This is the eBay photo that I noticed that it was a 3-Plank Top... AFTER I HAD BOUGHT IT!

So, I got myself a little piece of History.
The guitar is very light, and the cloth bowl is very resonant.
I am not going to do any real modifications to this...
Although I did add a strap button already. I am not going to electrify it.
It sounds pretty good the way it is.

Just wanted to Share (brag).

Have you looked at what bracing pattern it has? Should still be X braced....

I reached in and felt around.
It is Ovation X with some extra braces kinda fanning out below.
So yeah... "Ovation X"

Nice find, Art.

Brace pattern probably looks like this.
