A friend of mine bought an 1867 Ovation a week or two ago. I posted about it in the "What color?" thread. Anyway, this thing came with a hex wrench that is three inches long on each side! Sometimes I get guitars in here that are hard to work on because the truss rod is so deep I have to put the long end in and try to turn it with just the short end. Well it'll never happen to me again because he just GAVE me the wrench! He said he would be afraid to adjust the neck and he would bring it to me to do anyway so I might as well keep the wrench.
It's like an early Christmas present. Those of you who work on your own guitars will be happy for me. Those who don't are probably scratching their heads and thinking I'm nuts.

Location: Boise, Idaho | I've used Allen wrenches on plenty of other stuff and it's always tough to turn with the short end. |

Location: Always beautiful canyon country of Utah | Problem solved if you use hex wrenches with 3/8" drive which you then reduce to 1/4" drive with an adapter. All the torque you could ever need!! |

| This summer I was out to visit the Martin Factory in Nazareth PA. In their 1833 shop I spotted one of these and bought it. I don't think it's the same one mentioned above but it's long on both ends and works great on all my guitars.
