The op30 preamp was taken out, and put back in wrong. Instead of having the end away from the release go in first, the wrong end with the release button went in first. It's holding in well, unfortunately. How do I get it unstuck without breaking or marring it? I've taken the access port off the back and I can see the substantial housing for the preamp. Is there a trick?

Hold the guitar in your lap... Like you are playing it.
Place your thumb on the end of the preamp that is sticking-out.
Say a little prayer and Push down Firmly.

Then be sure to put it in correctly.

I had something similar happen to me with an OPpro. It was a long time ago and I posted how I got it out, but can't remember the specifics.
I got it out with no damage by using a broad thin butter knife on the end that's sticking out and with a bit of care and patience, it will come out without inflicting damage.
It's amazing how easy that sucker goes in the wrong way and gets stuck fast.
A few others have had it happen too.

I've seen several like this in shops and had it happen to me once or twice. I find a patient application of wriggling, pulling and a bit of brute force tend to get it out, then DON'T DO IT AGAIN!

Worked for me. There's a little worry about a tab inside breaking off, but if this trick is kept to a minimum perhaps it's somewhat safe to use.Had a feeling that this has happened to others. Thanks all for the advice.
