Location: Phoenix AZ | Talk about a surprise ... I was recording some stuff last night for the other forum and dinking around with mic placement because I wanted to use a certain acoustic only guitar that I got about 6 months ago. Then it struck me that the thing had a K&K PW in it. I completely forgot. I plugged it in and routed it through a simple Fishman G-II to my board. Fooled around with blend of the K&K and two condensors and got some nice results. By "nice" I mean sonically, not musically. Still a LONG way to go in that area.
Anyone else have experience with the K&K PW either for recording or live work? Only real negative I found is that you gotta be careful bumping the soundboard or bridge because it REALLY thumps. I guess that's good if you are Kaki King. |

Location: East Tennessee | I've use the K & K live and had good results. You're right about bumping the body of the guitar. They also have a hotter signal than an I-Beam passive. |

Location: ms | They have a good sound as long as you don`t get too loud. Feedback seems to be an issue if your loud or with a band. Pretty painless to install and to don`t have to alter the guitar much but i`ll stick with the undersaddle Baggs. |
