Location: Ohio | Has Ovation made, or has anyone here has custom made a guitar with the top made fomr two different types of wood? Say Spruce on teh treble and redwood on the bass. Just wondering how it would affet the overall sound /tonal qualities. |

Buy 2 perfectly good guitars, saw them in half, glue 'em together (repaint optional), and head for the street for a good day of busking. |

Maybe they were thinking that a blend of cedar and spruce would be tonally unique...being that back and sides are normally hog, rosewood, maple, etc, but NOT cedar or spruce. I'm not surprised it didn't catch on.... |
