Location: atlanta | My daughter Kaki has put together a 10 city tour of the Southeast in November. The shows will be solo performances by her with various stringed instruments including her signature Adamas, a miniature 12 string, a harp guitar, and a fan-fretted 7 string nylon. Here are the venues, dates and cities:
11/3 - The ArtsCenter | Carrboro, NC
11/4 - The Handlebar | Greenville, SC
11/6 - The Pour House | Charleston, SC
11/10 - Capitol Theatre | Tampa, FL (Clearwater))
11/11 - Downtown Concert Series | Miami, FL
11/12 - Plaza Live | Orlando, FL
11/14 - WorkPlay | Birmingham, AL
11/16 - State Theatre | Starkville, MS
11/17 - Barking Legs Theater | Chattanooga, TN
11/19 - The Loft | Atlanta, GA
Of course I will be at the Atlanta show, and as usual the first "tall cool one" will be on me for any OFC'ers who attend.
Finest regards to all--

Location: Utah | We went to her show last spring in NYC at The Winery with all these instruments. It was a real treat to see someone play such different instruments and such different styles all in one evening. As a guitar geek it was interesting to hear her brief discussions of each instrument.
This is a show not to be missed. |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | She came to Denver four or five years ago as I recall. StephenT and I attended with our wives. It was just Kaki with a couple of musicians backing her up in a local historic movie theater converted to small live venue. She is extremely talented and creative. In the middle of one of her sets, she became disgusted with her malfunctioning pedal board and started ripping out and reconnecting cables in order to bypass the offending pedal(s). I think from that point on, her cumulative frustration with her gear surfaced in her general dialogue with the audience. It had no impact whatsoever on her playing and the incredible tones she pulls out of her instruments. It was all guitars that evening. |

but then we probably weren't the crowd she was catering too. |
