Location: Nova Scotia, Canada | I had one on a strat plus years ago. Altough I forget exactly how it was constructed, basically it replaced the bone/plastic string nut with a metal mechanical piece that had rollers instead of slots so that the strings would not bind at the contact points during string bends and whammy bar use. The stretched string would move with the roller and when the bend was released, move back to the original position and stay in tune.

Location: Minnesota | Got one of the original models on my Strat.
They upgraded them a bit over the years. Mine has been working with no issues for 20+ years. Just have to keep it cleaned and lubed with the tiniest bit of Tri Flo teflon lubricant. Guit stays in tune very well even with the kahler trem setup! |

| I have wilkinson roller nut on my alvarez custom w/wilkinson trem.
I have a wilkinson r/n and wilkinson string tree on my epi dot es-335 w/a les trem as well.(les trem schaller retrofit on that) w/schaller roller bridge.
as long as you keep the rollers lightly lubed. and use good strings. you can dive bomb and hendrix/wolfgang pretty heavily and will still stay (relatively) in tune for a while longer than w/out the rollers or graphites. |

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | If you're not using a locking system like Kahler than rollers are the way to go. Not only do they stay in tune a little better when you get carried away, but they tend to help keep the strings in tune with each other during the bend. As in you can strum a chord and bend a bit and it will do it evenly. I have one of the strat ones on an ovation GS and it works great. |
