Location: ITALY | Well... let's put it this way: I know what model I want - I'm sure of it!
Now, shall I buy it at the lowest price wherever it is (on the web, mail order, specific request to a shop, etc.) or only when I've got the "part" phisically?
In other words: are there differences from part to part even in the same model of the same collection of the same year....
What's your experience about it? |

We have several dealers (AL & GREG) who ship overseas so best to contact them for specific pricing and shipping costs.
Not sure what else you were talking about. Maybe someone else can decipher. |

If you know what model you want - then you are half way there. I wouldn't look for the cheapest price - rather the most reputable dealer you can find, chances are you will get a good price anyway. This board is a great place to make contacts and evaluate prices. I personally have bought from Alpep and I can tell you that you don't have to worry about content.
A US made Ovation is built consistently - same parts and working components.
If you have a model you like and can get a picture - post it on the board, you will get lots of comments and expert insight.
Hopefully this helps.

I'll try to explain better than I did.
I've seen a 1773LX (nylon) into a big shop, I've tried it and I do like how it works.
Unfortunately, even if not properly used, it seemed to be too much played from customers - so that I decided not to buy at the moment.
I've tried dozens of other shops without finding anything but the chance of ordering to the general distributor: this was the origin of my question.
From your replies, considering that model is high-positioned, I would be confident in ordering.
...unless the previous shop offered me a consistant discount! |
