I'm heading off to the Mothership today with my buddy and my 1719-30th Comemorative and my 1112-1 Custom Balladeer. Something is wrong with the truss rod on the 1719. I'm wondering if that is why I got such a good price on it $1100.00 New at a local Music shop. The 1112 is 34 years old and needs a little "tender loving care" to make it play a little better/easier. I'm thinking it needs a fret job, but I'll let the "experts" tell me what it needs. According to Mapquest our ride will be approx 54 minutes or 32.45 miles.
I'll let you all know how I made out. I know pictures!!!

Just got back a little while ago from New Hartford. Very easy to get to from my place. Only took 1 hour (37 miles back roads) I met John and Kim. What great guys!!! Very nice, Very Helpful. Good news is I don't need a Fret job on the 1112-1. They said it looked like the Nut had shifted a bit and that was why when I "fretted" the 1st string it was "slipping off the frets and "buzzing". For what I feel is a very resonable cost they are going to make the Guitar play and look Great!!! I'm a happy guy! As far as the 1719 Custom legend goes, he assured me it will be fixed under Warranty. Can't wait to get them both back in 2-3 weeks. Another road trip but worth it. :D :D :D

Jealous. If I was within 37 miles, I'd be there every day, until they banned me. I've got a 30th that I'd like them to check out, too.

In many other parts of the country, there are people who commute longer times and distances to work than your trip to the Mothership. More often than not, their commutes are a lot less scenic than your trip. Wish I was out there to come along.
