| looks like a balladeer 1111-4 circa '71-'77 think that's the remnants of glue from a silver label inside the soundhole. my 71 had the same tuners, etc...

| lanaki, I'm not sure it's a balladeer, and might be a jumbo.. was just stating my often wrong opinion.. I was not aware a jumbo was ever produced.. and my Ovation knowledge has all been gleaned from here..when I picked the guitar back up about 15 years ago while I was in CT I was happy and excited about my old AA14 and Matrix.. my taste in Kaman products has gotten better... but not my manners or playing skills by much.. sorry if I spoke out of turn.

Location: CT | It's a Balladeer. No electronics = 1111-4. Early to mid 70s. The foil label is missing. No black background around the headstock logo. It's jumbo - if you're used to playing smaller guitars. Problem with high E string above the 12th fret = famous neck hump (jumbo problem if thats where u wanna play it). Looks good if the price stays low. My 2cents, which is worth about a quarter yen in some 3rd world countries. |
