I got this FINE S771-4! I find it hard to believe that this is a "Budget" guitar.
Since it has no finish to speak of, this has a Really Nice, Clear Voice.
I sounds wonderful, has an almost-antique OP-24+ Pre-amp, and I got a great deal on it...
What more could I ask for? :D
Anyway, are there any special care tips for Satin tops that those of you with more experience could give me?
It has a little mark from where you put your pinkie to brace your hand when picking...
Which isn't mine, cuz I rarely do that.
Also there is a mark where I rest my arm... Which probably IS from me.
When I say "mark" I mean a slightly shiny spot.
Not that I am overly concerned about this. I was just wondering about any wisdom that could be shared.
I do wipe all my guitars off before I put them away...
and often when I am Not putting them away and just putting them in the stand.
Just so y'all know which little darling I am talking about...

| The satin neck on my ute is now a high gloss just from playing. But it doesn't have that high gloss feel to it, which makes it perfect.
it looks odd - the back of the headstock and the heel are still satin with a shiny neck between. |

I figure that it oughta age well...
My friend Tom told me to be real careful about pick-tracks. He has a satin Seagull with some wear (apparently).
So... This is basically bare wood, huh? Or is there some kind of finish on there, besides "wood sealer"?
Like, Do I have to be careful about using wet rags, soap, Windex, 409, Old English (800) or whatever to clean it? |

I asked John Budny about what to use on my satin cedar balladeers.
It works great for regular maintenance.
