I can't seem to get ahold of the guy, despite the fact that he won the auction on my 1869 nearly a week ago. I haven't gotten any response from him to this point, and was curious if he was known to any here.

By his history on ebay, he appears to be an O collector of sorts. Ring any bells?

Nope, his name has never come up here as far as I can recall.

I have no idea who he is, but recognize the name from eBay bids. Did you get his personal contact information from eBay? It is more than what is supplied with the auction completion message, and must be requested separately.

Yeah the man has interesting tastes; Ovations (USA and Korean), collections of bizarre trivia, and knives; hunting, survival and switchblade stilleto; got to be careful with feedback!

I always set a time limit for payment, if not received or at least contacting me within the time frame, the next highest bidder gets asked if he wants the item. It happened to me once, the second bidder said no he didn't want it, so back on ebay it went. Then you file a report with ebay if you want regarding the welshing bidder.

If you don't hear back after 2 weeks from auction end, report to eBay as a non-paying bidder. Then you don't get hit with any eBay fees, and you can leave some nasty feedback.

Well, he just closed another transaction for another O here.

Perhaps that seller would have some useful information for you?

Based on his feedback, I wouldn't get too worried yet.
