Ok, I know this is not about Ovations (or could it be?) Anyways, I know lots about guitars but nothing when it comes to amps. Usually I just plug it into my mixer which goes out through the monitors or headphones. I'm looking for a little practice amp (15-30W?)for my solidbody electrics. I've looked at Marshall, Fender and Peavey (all the big names of course) so far. I don't really like the Peavey sound. Marshall seems decent and Fender's a warm tone. I want to get something that's a bang for my buck and don't want to spend TOO much as it's only for practicing. Any suggestions anyone?

After reading lots of the threads, it looks like you guys like the Trace Elliot and a few good things have been said about Ecoustic 112 Peavys. I too would like to hear some more comments about amps. I'm looking for an acoustic amp.
Does anybody have any comments on Aslin Dane?

the genz benz is a good acoustic amp worth checking out.
as for an electric amp I was using a trace elliot velocette for a couple of years but now I have gone back to my vintage fenders. I am currently using a brown princeton with a celestian 12" vox bulldog copy the amp kills

I love the old Fender Princeton amps as well. The amp I use 90% of the time is the early 1955 version...it has the narrow panel small cabinet; looks like a Champ but has a tone control as well as volume and about a watt more output power. It is completely original, down to the tubes. I know I should do a cap job on a 48 year old amp, but it sounds sooooo good I just hate to mess with it.

The Fender tubes would be my first choice, as stated before they do have a really warm feel, next the Marshall, for solid state I use a Crate, for the bang/buck I think they have alot to offer in diversity.
