For those of us who are the fortunate owners of vintage USA Ovations, but not the original owners; is there a way to determine where our guitars were initially shipped, when, and to whom? Now, far be it from me to tromp all over someone's privacy, but I would like to know some more of my instruments' histories. I have read the discussion thread concerning the respective ownership roster of the slothead Adamas production, and am wondering if "ordinary" sales records could be accessed.

If someone was an original owner AND sent in the registration card, I believe that card would be kept on file (by serial #) at Customer Service.
Whether or not they'd be willing and/or able to give you that info is another story.

Thanks, Cliff- kinda my thoughts, too. If it was shipped to a business, would that make a difference?

I doubt very highly that the "record keeping" would be that extensive that far back.
In the case of the SlotHeads, it was just 35 guitars, records were kept because some went to some prominent individuals, . . . AND . . . THAT record ended up going to some guy who used to come to the factory and take all of the so called "junk" . . . that's the only way WE were able to find it.

Anybody 'WE' know?! I'm not sure what your inference relates to, but thanks for your info thus far. I am in your debt, Kind Sir.
With all best wishes for the season, greetings & hallucinations, etc., etc., etc.......hmmmm, late on a Friday, again.
Later, Chris

I'm not sure what your QUESTION relates to. :D

If you're asking about the "junk guy", it's our own beloved Uncle Al.

If you're asking where/who the SlotHeads went to, it's listed in the "Reference" Section here.

After tonight's GIG, I am on VACCACIONES!!!!

One whole week of R&R (Rum & Relaxation) in Cape May, NJ!!!

Be good to one another.

(Al, you got my cel phone number, call me!!
"Whaler's Cove" awaits!!)
