Ovation Gig Bag
Does anyone have any history on these? I went to what I was willing to pay (+ $10).
Should we pester Miles into making it part of the "Q" level support along with the strap?
Bless his heart. |

Location: 6 String Ranch | Actually that looks like a case cover. A good gig bag is a good addition to the lineup that Miles has. The problem will be that a good one won't be cheeep and the maker will want a minimum order and Miles will have to carry the inventory.
Maybe sombody knows of a good one available now? |

Exactly!
That would be cool! I sit corrected on the Cover vs. gig bag although I knew it was just a cover. It's not that I needed to cover a case - it's just cool looking and I didn't see this anywhere else before.
I can relate it somewhat to a golf bag cover/case used to transport clubs via an airline. It helps contain all the broken pieces when the handlers get your precious in private!
Any idea when these were marketed? |

Location: Rego Park, NY, | I e-mailed the seller shortly after the item was listed. She said that this is not a case cover, just a gig bag. I decided against bidding because of this. If this is actually a case cover she didn't know what she had and I missed out on it :( |

Location: Scotland | A rep from Ovations UK distibutor called in to see me this afternoon. They have a new line of Ovation-branded gig-bags for SS & mid-bowl guitars. He didn't have samples but the catalog pic looked good. They should be available in the US already |

| The auction in question was indeed for an Ovation gigbag and not a case cover, as I presently own two different models of the Ovation gigbag offered only in the early 1970's as well as Ovation case covers.
The offered gigbag was one of the rarer models as the seller mentioned that it may have been suede. The simulated suede models apparently were produced in smaller quanities, but as demonstrated by the auction description of the item, they did not hold up as well as the more common plastic ones.
These gigbags are very sturdy; however, it is an extremely tight fit for a deep bowl. |

Is it possible to have a bad case of accessory GAS? I think it is.
Good to see you Bob!
Would love to see an LX Gig Bag reissue! |
