I was laughing through my tears on that one. I needed a laugh today. You see, one of my co-workers retired this week due to the fact that he is in the early stages of Alzheimers. I had seen him deteriorate over the past year or so and it was so sad.

You know you're getting older when you can remember when songs such as "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" were current hits on the charts.

Last night, first class of the semester, fresh new law students, only two or three out of about 25 had ever seen a real typewriter, although most recalled seeing a picture of one.

a golf joke:

Four old men went into the pro shop after playing 18 holes of golf. The pro asked, "Did you guys have a good game today?"

The first old guy said, "Yes, I had three riders today."

The second old guy said, "I had the most riders ever. I had five."

The third old guy said, "I had seven riders, the same as last time."

The last old man said, "I beat my old record. I had 12 riders today."

After they went into the locker room, another golfer who had heard the old guys talking about their game went to the pro and said, "I have been playing golf for a long time and thought I knew all the terminology of the game, but what's a rider?"

The pro answered, "A rider is when you hit the ball far enough to get in the golf cart and ride to it."

When you have to explain to your co-worker what an 'album' is and she replies, "Oh...yeah...I know what those are. My mom has some." At least she didn't say 'grandmother'.

I don't know who originally said this, but...

"I can see through my bifocals,
my dentures fit just fine,
I can live with my arthritis,
but I sure do miss my mind."

(If anyone spots mine, please, let me know; it'll be the one wearing the turquoise sneakers when it streaks past.)

I was really heartbroken a few years back... [a Decade]
Whenever I got a new pair of glasses I either couldn't read with them or I couldn't drive with them.
So I would use my new glasses to read with, and my old glasses to see with.
Then they gave me bifocals which really sux at any age, but I could see!
Last time got my eyes examined they wanted me to go for the trifocals...
That just Ain't Happenin'!
