| Looking at the Angel Step Walnut it looks like the 5858 and the N858 are the same??? The pawn shop had my uncles down as a 5858. Any ideas because there is no N858 on the price list.
Also, I'm sending some info to a pawn shop so if anyone has a serial number on one can you please let me know. It doesn't have to be the exact number but I want to make sure I get the right amount of digits.
Thanks! |

| Is the 5858 an Adamas on headstock as Fugot had and the N858 the one that has the Ovation on the headstock? |

I believe the 5858 has a regular Ovation logo. The N858 is more like the Custom Elite (if I remember correctly) but made for the Japanese market; in which case it does not have the angelstep walnut top. It isn't on the price list because it wasn't a model distributed in the States. |

look at the link above - you will find the N858 you are asking for.
N858
Just browse through the other catalogues Jerome has listed on his page - you will nearly find every guitar you are looking for.

Edit: The N in the model number as a first digit usually stands for "Nakao Corporation", the japanese distributor. They had some Limiteds and Custom guitars with an "N" as the first digit. |

| Great link. Thanks!
This is the reply I got from Ovation.
"The 5858 and the N858 are similar but not exact. The N858 was specially configured for export to japan. The top woods and Necks are the same."
I'm curious why some said Adamas on the headstock and some said Ovation? |
