I keep looking for a sample of the new Adamas wood tops, but to no avail.  i have not found one since they were introduced but maybe I am just not looking in the right place?  YouTube has commercials for them but no sound samples.  That just does not make sense to me at all!  Anyone?  I would love to hear one.  Just curious and wondering ...

P.S.  I hate freakin' "auto-correct"!

Willa

I don't have a sound clip, but I did play one at the Road Show. If you've played a 2007BCS it was similar. The contour bowl plus suspension ring makes it a slightly deeper body by maybe 1/4", so the lows are slightly fuller. It had the crisper highs of an LX compared to a carbon fiber Adamas, which is slightly mellower. I would call the tone an incremental improvement on the very best of the wood topped O's rather than describing it as an Adamas tone. The workmanship was all Adamas, i.e. top of the line USA Kaman product.

I was playing one when the Ovation Hometown Hero thing was recorded. The video really doesn't do the guitar justice ... to me, the recorded sound is a lot thinner and compressed that the way I remembering it sounding while I was playing it. I've played several WTAs, and every one of them that was new felt tight like they needed time to open up. There was one around here for a couple of weeks and it was pretty amazing how the sound really hit full stride after being played for while.

I can make a clip when I get home next weekend. Which one do you want to hear?
