Does the factory restore older "O's" and where does one get a cost list or do you contact them as to what you want?

The only place to go to get an Ovation Acoustic or Solid restored is at the Factory. They have the parts, tools and knowledge to make them as right as they can be.

There are standard price lists for averaged "needs" but the only way to know is to ship them your instrument and get their assessment.

I have heard no complaints about what they've done.

contact Keller or Budney. They do a great job of restoration on older O's.

I think it's an understatement to say the factory restores older O's...they have a passion for it! Years ago I sent them my early 80's CL12string to have an Optima installed. They did that AND lots of other things...that guitar was perfect when I got it back. They erased 15 years of heavy use and made it look like a new guitar. I called and asked about it...like didn't I owe them more money...and I was told their wish is for people to see an old Ovation and just fall in love with them.

My '70 Balladeer is at the factory now. Kim and I traded a few e-mails before I decided to just sent it so he could see what was needed. I'll be able to pick it up at the tour.

Gonna call and see what magic they can do to the Viper. I wonder if anyone knows if they can customize the finish to a quilt finish that is glossy?

I would love to dress this baby up and keep stock parts just eye candy looks.

I'm convinced The Wizards at The MotherShip are truly masters of their craft, and very reasonable in their estimates of time & money. I've got two pieces of evidence, so far......
