Mornin' gang;

Although he is NOT an Ovation player (we all have our character flaws...), the best finger-style guitar player in the world will be playing this Sunday morning in the Detroit area. If you've ever seen or heard Doyle, you know that the guy is most likely from another planet. Nobody plays like he plays. Let me know if you're interested in seeing him - I'll post the directions/locations/times. It's free.

For what it's worth, I saw that Al DiMeola is going to be in the Detroit area in October at the Magic Bag in Ferndale......the date escapes me, but I'm sure it can be found without much trouble.

Roger - Canton is where Doyle will be playing. Sheldon Rd., just north of Mich. Ave. at Tri-City Christian Center. He is scheduled to play a 4 song set, but last time he was in town he went much longer.

Can't say I'm familiar with him. Can someone compare Doyle to Tommy Emmanuel?

Here is a link to him playing the new Taylor. He seems pretty laid back in the clip - he is unbelievable live.

I've seen him live twice. Unbelievable. The only reason people didn't die on the spot when he was done was because Phil Keaggy was next...
