I just wanted everyone to know I'm listing my 1982 custom order CL on ebay( in about a day or two) and I put some info and a pic in the OFC Sell/Trade forum. I've decided to part with some of my "toys", so I hope this ends up in a loving home. Thanks to all the people from the OFC that have helped me gather information on this guitar, especially Dave W., and hope that everyone continues to appreciate the beauty and uniqueness that is Ovation. Oh yea, I almost forgot "bid high and bid often"...the ebay chant.

Thanks,
Dan

64galaxie500,
I agree nice guitar, nice pics too... But when I checked on the shipping to zip code 06355, it gave me a quote of $145. Is that right? Pretty cool guitar, I am sure it will sell. peace mike

$143.52 from Milford, OH to Midland, MI (48642). Seems a little steep for UPS ground. Maybe the insurance is pushing it into the next class?

The shipping quote allows you to add the actual shipping charges to a predetermined amount you start with, like your own "handling" charge. So, you plug in, say, $100 as your handling charge, and the shipping quote software would then add the actual shipping to your $100 handling charge to arrive at the total shipping cost.

I SCREWED UP !!!
Sorry guys about the shipping cost calculator. The box will be about 51in. x 24in. x15in. and weigh about 20 lbs. The packing fee and insurance is around $30.00. Having been burned before on ebay shipping costs, I used the biggest size package (which I believe is 60in.) to do the calculation and the sample rates from the ebay calculator looked about right based upon the zone rates that my pack&ship guy gave me. I never plugged in any zip codes after I placed the listing. WOW!!!! It was about twice what it should be.....SORRY!!! I have corrected this (I think) on the listing so try again. Live and learn.
