The battery light started flashing on my VIP midway through a set over the weekend. It made it to the end of the set (about 20 more minutes), but it left me wondering how much time I really had.

Any idea how much usable time I have left once the battery light starts flashing?

Jeff, there's only one way to know for sure.
The same method I used to find out how many more miles I can get out of my bike once the 'low fuel' light comes on...

Make sure you carry spare gas... I mean batteries.

I just got an e-mail from John at Ovation indicating that you should have something on the order of two hours from the point where the battery indicator comes on.

Spares are fine, but I'm not going to swap them out during a set!

Now Look,....if E Clapton can swap strings during a set,than U can swap batteries...turn it into a Happening...."People,do I have a treat for You,this I do only for a selected Audience,Now U see it...Now U do n`t "... :)

There are a lot of things I could do if I were Eric Clapton! Swapping batteries mid set is the least of them! :-)
