In July I purchased an Adamas WGT597 that was sent to me direct from the factory. The serial number is 021811. Does that seem correct for a 2007? Also, there are several pits in the lacquer finish on the neck and on the back of the headstock. Finally, the VIP pre-amp doesn't want to turn on all the time. Is this out of the ordinary? I have a 92 Custom Legend that has never had an issue. I just don't think there should be any with their top of the line instruments. Maybe I expect too much in 2007. Thanks

have you contacted your dealer?
have you contacted the service department?

if no one knows of your issues they cannot address them.

Definitely hit your dealer up. I have heard of one other person having nightmares with the VIP flat-out not turning on...he's supposed to be getting a fix from customer service, but that's the only other case I know of.

The VIP in my 2080 does the same thing sometimes. Usually, unplugging the cord and plugging it back in will solve the problem. I believe that it has something to do with the auto shut off feature. It's just one of those things that I've learned to live with.
