What are your opinions regarding this nylon string model? It looks brand new. I have a couple Martin nylon string guitars and wonder if any of you are familiar with this model.

Here is the ebay link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/111495341112

Thanks

Looks like it's gone. They are very nice. I have a 1713, which is the same guitar without the cutaway. They have a much more robust sound than other nylon string guitars, which always sound weak to me.

Noticed that it's been listed again at a lower price.

How does it sound not plugged in and how rare are these?

They are a great nylon string guitar. The classical guitarist would probably not put it in their top 3.
My only negative is the strap button placement up by the heel. I use a strap all the time and the guitar wants to turn flat, putting a little pressure on my left wrist. The non-cutaway works better for me.
The price is too high for today's market. It should not be that way but it is right now.

While a good one without finish checking can be a little hard to find, they are not really rare.
They are nice and loud without plugging in.
I prefer the 1116/1616 because the scale is inch shorter. I find the first 4 frets on the 26 3/8 scale to be longer than I find comfortable...just me...stubby fingers

LOL John.

The classical guitarist is not ever going to list Ovation as a choice, regardless of the # allowed. But they are not going to list Gibson or Fender either.

Thanks John for that input. I tend to like the long scale guitars for their projection.
