Mahavishnu's "Meeting of the Spirits" (first LP, first track) and "Birds of Fire" employ, basically, the same chord pattern, just different roots and time-signatures. Try it: The basic chord is 204020 > 304020. You pick the strings in this order: 6 4 2 3 1. That's it!

Imagine our delight to be able to record this with Jerry Goodman himself!

Thanks, Zilla. Here's an original that Jeff and I co-wrote. The violin sweetens the Adamas + Elite mix

Wow another nice one! The violin really adds some spice to an already tasty composition!

And referring back to the other thread you started. Meeting of the Spirits was one of those songs that tuned my head around. I remember putting Inner Mounting Flame on my turntable for the first time and just being floored. It was unlike anything I'd ever heard before.

Thanks for posting all the cool music Greg!

Great! That violin piece is beautiful.
Why don't you post videos of the people playing instead of stills?
I would like to see that...

Indeed, Dan; I've been advised to get some quality video shot and posted. Still on my to-do list; the trio with violin would be fantastic. The only video we have is of the duo:

Nicely done dobro (Guitarfire).  Echos of Vishnu and Friendly Fire made me think of a blending between Acoustic Alchemy and Shadowfax  ...and the Friendly Fire screen image is very hot! (pun intended)
