Location: Phoenix AZ | Went to the opening night of the Paul McCartney tour last night in Phoenix. Superb show in every way and one not to be missed. Too many highlights to list here, but certainly rolling "Day In The Life" into "Give Peace A Chance" was a stunner.
Paul played bass (obviously), electric guitar, acoustic guitar, piano, mandolin and ukulele. Quite the musician and an incredible rocker who never once makes you stop and think of his age. So many other acts who just "mail it in" should take note. Singing along to "Hey Jude" with tears rolling down my cheeks was an emotional highlight for me.
The sound, lighting and video was world class. In fact as the opening videos rolled a montage of old clips and photos if you were quick you got a glimpse of an original Adamas slothead. I was probably one of the few in the house who caught that (or would even care).
We were among the best seats in the house, as a birthday gift for my wife and she loved it. If any of you are planning to catch this tour you are in for a GREAT treat. And you never know how many of these chances you will get in life. |

Glad the show lived up to the expectations.
I saw McCartney when he did the Wings Over America tour and it was awesome but maybe it is time to check out if there is a Denver date for the current tour. |

It's good to hear he's still got it. |

Location: SE Michigan | I also saw a Paul McCartney show several years ago. It was the best rock and roll concert I have ever seen. As close to seeing the Beatles as you can get, but lots of his solo work too.
He is a first rate performer and his concerts are well worth the money. Best of the best. |

Btw, this gift went over WAY better than the his and hers Telecasters a few years ago ... |
