Gather at least 10 and hopefully more OFCers, decked out in OFC/Lost Art regalia and meet at the local Guitar Center on a Saturday.
This will accomplish a couple of things:
- There will be a waiting line to try the "less than enough" Ovations on the wall.
- You can push out the "shredders" that play the same three licks all dang day.
- All of the O's and A's in the store will end up tuned.
- For some unexplained reason all of the other acoustics end up out of tune...
Just say'in! |

Just say'in! Sounds like a plan :D !
I actually had the weird experience of going to my local GC and playing a Balladeer and a Celebrity (at least I think it was a Celebrity)Shallow 12 string that were actually in tune!
Part of my "evil plan" for the Woodstock gathering was to have people show up at the guitar show with Ovation shirts and see what happens! Maybe have a smack down between the OFCers and the flatbackers :D  .

Hmm, I think I might go to a local guitar shop here with my Ovation shirt on and play (detune) everything I can get my hands on :) |

| Something similar was suggested for one of the Amelia clinics a few years back, with a slight variation:
Go in one at a time, and ask the sales clerk to bring down an Ovation (requiring a ladder), complain about the strings and have him/her re-string it. Next person in do the same, but with a different guitar, forcing the clerk to climb up and down ladders and change strings for a couple of hours. |
