I've decided to take the plunge and search for an Adamas, the guitar I've wanted for years. I'm looking for one in nice, playable condition and would like to spend $1000 (or less!). I am not looking for a mint instrument but rather one that has been well cared for -- a players guitar. A case would be a plus but not necessary.

Location: Boston USA | A newer one is fine. I see new ones listed at $1200 and up but see very few used instruments. Looks like people hang on to them -- which is actually a good sign in and of itself. I was hoping to find a well-played but decent instrument for less, but I may have to buy new. I'm one of those people who prefer buying used to new. |

Location: Boston USA | Thanks for the responses! I was able to buy a 1982 Adamas II for $650! It's on its way now from Chicago. Thanks to everyone for responding to my request. There are some great Adamas instruments out there in the $1000 range from great people who are OFC regulars. Why deal with eBay when there's a super community on these boards.
