| So I was sat around this morning waiting for the shop to call and tell me how much my car was going to cost to fix, and rather than give the hallway it's final coat of paint me and my 12 year old dragged out the amps and a pile of geetars and had a seriously good morning. When I'm dead I won't care about the hall and while I'm alive this was much more fun.
The shop rang and said $1200. "The central computer's snafu."
So while I was waiting this afternoon for them to ring back and say it was done I was trawling through Wolfgang's Vault (you'll notice I still ain't picked up a paintbrush) listening to all sorts of stuff.
And 2 things struck me - Jimi Hendrix (Winterland 1966) is one of the most overrated guitar players ever and The Rolling Stones (Masonic Hall Detroit 1978) really were once the best rock'n'roll band in the world. I'd forgotten. They were awesome.
And now me'n'the boy just got supper all ready - sea bass, asparagus, spinach, carrots in orange butter, broad beans and potatoes.
Life is just unexpectedly great some days. Even with a bill for $1200. |

Clive, sounds like an awesome day. Send the $1200 bill to Jeff and make it even better! |
