Just a quick note on a funny story from last night...

An old friend is putting together a small jazz ensemble. She asked me to sit in at their rehearsal.

I brought my Epiphone Lucille (which is really tricked out and I thought would be the attention getter of the evening) and my Koala. The Epi may as well have been a bowl of oatmeal for all the reaction it garnered, but they couldn't get enough of the Koala. All kinds of "ooohing" and "aaahing" over the look, and they went totally gaga over the tone (plugged straight into the board).

That is one sweet guitar.

SWMBO thinks it's "plain" looking, "except for the wood". I suspect she is referring to the location of the soundhole, but she doesn't know what to call it.

Al, I would SO totally have that 12-fretter...but unfortunately a bad turn of events and a root canal killed my guitar budget...

You don't take second-born children do you? (first-born's already spoken for... ;) )
