Is a Pinnacle 386T the same as a Pinnacle 3862?

On the Ovationguitars.com website it does not list the 386T. It does list the 3862. I know both are discontinued. But just wondering if anyone knows if these guitars had solid tops or not. There's a pretty one on the 'Bay right now (386T), but that wood sure doesn't look like solid spruce to me, which is what the website says the 3862s had.

Here's the listing: 110292692894

Anyway... It does have a OP24+C...
I don't know if those quilted tops a Real Wood or Plywood. I also don't know about $575...

Hi Oddball,

You should find some information about the different Pinnacle models in this 1992 CATALOG FROM JAPAN.

Jerome,
Thanks for the link. So I think I got it now. As I infer it, as of 1992:
* Pinnacle was top 'foreign' made Ovation line.
* Pinnacle 3862 guitars had solid spruce tops
* Pinnacle 386T tops had 'torch' tops. Not specified whether these were solid or laminate, but I'm guessing the latter.
* All Celebs that year had laminate tops
* All Applause had laminate tops
Anyway, thanks. It's a pretty guitar but I agree $575 is too much, even it is a solid top.

If for some reason you want a Solid Top import, I had a 4861 before. And it was a nice guitar. Mine was newer than this one, but I kinda wish I hadn't sold it.

I ain't gonna buy this one tho'... :p

[I might add that this seller is describing the wrong pre-amp... This is a OP24 w/ missing knob]

It's a shallow bowl with a laminate top and came with FET-3 preamps. The 'torch' top looks cool, but doesn't make it sound any better and they are not particularly rare. IMHO, these are nice guitars for under $200 with a case.
