Location: Denver, PA | I have a 1517 Ultra series Ovation. It was made in Korea. How is this different from the Celebrity models? I bought it new 16+ years ago. See "New Guy" post for more info.
Thanks,
Bill |

Location: Shelton, Washington, USA | Hey Bill, I have a 1515 (Ultra 12 string) even though they were put together in Korea, didn't O track the serial numbers for year of production purposes? Seems like I heard something like that once... |

That's possible but I'm not sure. The memory cells need more stirring to come back to life. The 17 would have been the legend equlivent, the 15 a 12 string, was there a 12? I don't think there were and 2_ models (shallow bowls), were there?
Sorry, it's been a long time.

true story, there was a 12. I have one. Nice big blue oval label says Ultra by Ovation. model # on the label is 1515. says it was make in ROK. Using the "when it was made" matrix, according to the serial number it was made in 1984. That matches with when the original owner purchased it.... I remember seeing a few shallow bowl models, as well. |

Location: 6 String Ranch | But was there a 1512? the XX15 are 12 strings and the XX17 would be the legend or dressed up 6 string. The 1512 would have been the basic 6 although there could have been a 1511. If there were shallows they would be 152X. |
