I have a cream colored Viper from the 70's in good shape. No scratches, very small dings, rosewood fretboard. In it's original case. What is it worth?

It's called humour. Fixing a price on Ovation solids is difficult, but they generally sell for less than they should be worth, given their general quality. Interest in these guitars is growing & that situation may well change. An all-original cased Viper in good shape will probably fetch around $450 give or take 50 bucks. Yours is in a less common finish, so that may help. The fingerboard is Ebony, not rosewood.

On ebay, I've seen them sell for $240-$450. So there's quite a range.

Ignore Al. He's harmless unless he goes off his medication.

ah, humor, i've heard of that... LOL Must be ironic humor, we don't get much of that here in New England. But really, thanks for all the posts, and the information. Ebony fingerboard? Wow didn't know that, worth all that $$? And I understand the first post, I do all the things the voices in my x-wifes head tell me to......Thanks again.

One of the most overasked questions on this board is how much is my guitar worth?

AS my departed father used to say it is worth nothing until you get someone to pay for it.

there are tons of ways to get a feeling for the value of something check the FAQ here and it outlines these methods.
