...so, once again I come to the Sages for counsel:

I want to run the single guitar output to two amps with a different effects box on each line. I need to be able to have both amps on at once and to switch between them as well.

I found this thingy: Big Shot

(yup, money is tight)...

whatchathink?

I have one of these:

Morley ABY pedal

Not as sophisticated as the Radial, but it'll do the same job for less dough.

Thanks Paul,

Have you experienced any of the problems mentioned in the reviews?

I've had mine for about 11 years for the first 6 years it was used 2 or 3 times a week, since then it's used only occasionally, but is too useful to get rid of. Never had a mechanical problem, and can't detect any signal degradation. I only ever used it to switch 2 guitars to a single input, or as a tuner switch. With any passive device like this you might notice problems when running into 2 amps simultaneously. If so you'd need to go to a transformer-isolated splitter. Looks like the Radial might be worth the extra dough, as it is transformer-isolated.

I like the Radial stuff.

I think you already found the best bang for the bucks. Your search is over.
