Location: Central Oregon | All the talk on the board about LX's & pins & what-not got me to thinking (dangerous). I was pretty sure I remembered putting 'LX' emblems on some cars in the past. I asked my boss at the body shop to check his computer, & sure enough, there was a Honda Accord 'LX' made in '97, maybe some other years as well, I'm not sure. They're approximately an inch to an inch & a half in size & have factory double sided tape already on them so you can stick 'em on almost anything. They're chrome with a black 'LX' on 'em. The only caveat is they're kinda spendy, they retail for about $15 a pop. I don't have one in hand so I can't post a picture & since I don't have an LX I'm not going to buy one just to look at it. However, they are available & can be ordered from any body shop if anyone wants some. They should also be available from any wrecking yard for next to nothing but they might need a good cleaning & they will need new stickem (I recommend Scotch brand double sided tape).
FWIW.

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | Ford has made "LX" trim levels of several models for many years, although I think that has all but stopped now. The Escort, Taurus and Crown Victoria had LXs, as did Mustang before 1994 (the notchback coupe).
Honda still does have Civic LXs, I know.
A search at a junkyard might yield a cheap useable piece. I certainly wouldn't go buy an emblem piece NEW over the parts counter, it would probably give you heart failure when the price came up.

Sweet little car. Used to haul ass!
For the the record:
The Ovation "LX" logo goes against the principles of Typography and "LetterHead"-dom.
Tottaly un-original and Butt-fuggin' Ugly.
Not on my car, thank you. |
