Excellent photos, Mike, particularly the OFC-II. You did a fabulous job capturing the carbon weave. The only way that photo could be improved is to shoot it sitting in a high-gloss carbon fiber case (i.e., like the case that came with the OFC-I). I would if I had your skills.

My OFC 2 wideneck resides in a high-gloss carbon fiber case. Beautiful combination.

I would if I could but I don't so I didn't...lol...
Seriously, thanks guys! I miss our get-togethers...I have some great photo's of the 1687-7 up close that shows off its unusual top texture...as soon as I get the chance to look for them I'll post them...it was featured in a post some years ago that I believe Kurt started about the different top textures on the early Adamas...I also need to take new pictures of #119...it is such an unusual guitar: no fingerboard inlays; gloss back like the original slotheads; and mono electronics w/original dot knobs...it is nearly pristine...gotta love those early Adamas models...
by the way, I got to hear Jonmark Stones 1681-5...what a great sounding instrument...of course it does not hurt that Jonmark can really play the strings off of it...very cool!

MusicMishka -  gloss back like the original slotheads;

???  Gloss back?   I've seen my share of slotheads but I don't recall any with a gloss back.  SOunds interesting.

I stand corrected then...119 has a clear coat on the back...it is original to the guitar. I'll post a pic...

Here is the picture of the bowl back on #119...heavy bronze glitter w/clearcoat...front is also heavy glittered as seen in the 2nd photo. Sorry for the misleading info...but it is different from the mid '78's and later Adami

I have the same bowl finish with multi-colored flakes on my custom 1187 SSB, which is what I requested. The OFC-I has a similar clear coat finish but with only gold colored flakes on the bowl.
