Thanks!

But...

Idiot seller has sold the guitar to the 2nd highest bidder and refuses to acknowledge that I'm the real winner.

IDIOT!

As I send before...

I like SSBs. Now this 5868 might not sound as "good" as some of my other guitars but I will probably just use it (dare I say it) as knock about practise guitar. Something I can grab and lie on the sofa. So it's laminated - so what. I'll hang it on the wall in my front room and enjoy it's looks when it's not being played.

The story. Seller #1 (who shall hereby be called the 'idiot'), advertises the above guitar ob Ebay. I win. Then idiot says the auction is not open to non US residents despite allowing me to bid and win. Thehn idiot before I can even tell him that he can ship to my friend in the US rather than the UK sells the guitar to the next highest buyer (who shall hereby be named Seller #2). So seller #2 has it for a while but wants an VXT so sells it (to me) and is prepared to do free shipping in the US. Now it just so happens my friend is coming over this weekend and has always wanted to look like a rock star so has offered to bring it over for me. SORTED.

Yeah super shallow bowl, I miss my old beater (Elite Special) but this will make up for it.

Long stories with happy endings; gotta love'em.

Congrats Dweez!

You may as well plan on sending pics of this one for the calendar. It's easily one of the most striking models ever made!

Having a good story to go along with the guitar contributes to each guitar's intrinsic value. Along with the guitar, the story is a keeper.

Not only is good story but it's well travelled too - seller was in Owensboro, KY so it's journey to me is...

OWENSBORO, KY --> NASHVILLE, TN --> MEMPHIS, TN --> DALLAS, TX --> AUSTIN, TX --> LONDON --> NEWBURY, BERKSHIRE --> BRIGHTON, EAST SUSSEX

OK it's arrive safe and sound at my friends in Austin. I asked if it was in good condition, he said that was an understatement. He said it looks brand new! :-)

Some more pics...

I'll do some nicer outdoor shots jsut as soon as I get it. If it sounds/plays just 5% of how good it looks it will be awesome
