Nat may be working overtime to pay the duty.

Many years ago my Mom sent her mother, who lived in Latvia, a home made dress as a surprise birthday gift. Her mother asked her to please not send anything else. That dress cost her mother two weeks in wages for import duty!

Times have changed, boys. We send things regularly to Russia with no problems. Naturally, a postal worker anywhere can be a crook and rip something off...

Unless Nat has a home laptop (rare, as internet connection is very expensive there) she has to go to a public internet kiosk...depending on where she lives, it can be a long ride on the trolly bus...also, it is possible (probable) that Nat had to pay a tax on the package...the larger the package, the greater the tax...

SWMBO is Russian...we met there in '96...believe me folks, it's not Kansas...
