| Hello everyone! I'm new to the group and I'm about to purchase an Ovation Celebrity GS-157, model of which I haven't got much information except that its origin is probably Korea and dates back to the 90s?.
I have never found a model with a brown inner label. Any thoughts?
If you look closely, it looks like one label was put on top of another.
If you have any more information I would appreciate it, such as what kind of wood the top is made of, laminated or not, etc.
It has a 7 letter model number starting with the number 7.
I leave pictures.
Thanks in advance!

How is the "action"? Fret wear?
If it sounds good, buy it.
As to laminate or solid top?...
Looking at the "pretty" grain on the top... It is probably a Laminate.

| Hi Old Man Arthur, thanks for the answer.
The guitar its at a very convenient price, but it seems that it have a difference in the angle of the string and the fretboard (sign of a hit or fall and reglued?).
The action of the strings was high too. So i have to fix that first.
Do you know the year of production of this guitar?
Thank you again!

No. Older Celebrity guitars really did not "track" the serial numbers.
Newer Celebrity guitars have the year in the serial number.
But older Celebrity guitars... Not so much.
