I don't know the answer to your question, but I suggest you take it to your local music store & ask 'em if they have one that will fit. I fixed up an off-brand freebie guitar for my nephew a while back that had no nut & no saddle. The store I usually go to brought out a couple of small boxes with misc. nuts & saddles & gave me the ones that were closest to the right size. I sanded them to fit. |

Nut size should be 1-7/8 I believ that model ia listed with the discontinued models on the applause website. www.applauseguitars.com
you can check there but I'm pretty sure that's correct. as far as where to get one, i would think any nut that size should work. You should be able to get one from Ovation customer service or from Stewart Mcdonald try
web page
hope it helps.
Again welcome to the OFC. Don't be a stranger. |

I vaugly remember seeing an AA33 somewhere. It's probably an older export model. I'm guessing it has no electrics and the older style headstock. Anyway, it's probably a 1 11/16" wide nut. The height is kinda irrelavent as Nils said almost any decent size music store should have an assortment of nuts that can be fitted rather easily. If you're not sure how to set the action this way go to Frets.com, a very useful reference site. Good luck.

Location: WV | Steve's right. I just checked and it's a discontinued model. Just measure the width at the neck/headstock joint. |

Location: Washington | Wow, thanks for all the quick responses.
There is a pretty good music store in the area so I will take the guitar there and get one fitted.
Thanks so much for all your valuable info. |
