Made at the mother ship, 93-94.

That 6868 is the Vintage finish. There's a non cutaway deep bowl, 6718 elite standard out there too in cherry sunburst a couple of listings down if you search 'ovation elite'. they also came in root beer which is somewhat rare.

they had FET-3 preamps originally.

so in total, there were 3 models, 6868, 6878, 6718. SSB cut, DB cut, DB non cut, respectively. Made in V- vintage, CSB- cherry sunburst, and RB root beer, which was a cool brown with maple epaulets. the 94 catalog shows them well. Also notice the epaulets are outies.

I love my 6718-V. John and Kim brought it back to like new. I bought it from an OFC member, can't remember his name, but the guitar was in his gallery...

the 6718-V that I bought was from member Zchord.

There are a couple of pics in his gallery.

that Vintage finish is really nice in person.

I used to have a 6868LX, so if you think it's an OP Pro that might be what you're seeing. super shallow bowl. cutaway. usa. mine was sunburst.. man do I miss that finish!
