Might have been back to the MotherShip for a refurbish.
$900 OBO plus shipping at the Lawman Guitars site.

- Numbfingers - I was over at the Lawman guitar site while you found the Reverb listing.

I got a 1717 Legend with the same finish. Boy, does mine sound and look good! The early Balladeer above is respectable though.

I didn't know any early Ovations had black finish on the back of the necks... seems fishy to me...
