I recently aquired a 2005 ES Collector guitar without a case as I had an extra ovation that use to house a mid-depth elite T (the flame one). All of the sites out there say that the mid depth case will also work with the deep contour. I am able to close the case, but it is really tight and was wondering if it would eventually conform to fit (I can latch the middle latch but there seems to be a little pressure with the bottom latch.

Do you think it will push in on the top too much. Also, as an alternative, I have been looking at the zero gravity cases. gig bag. they also list it for a med or deep bowl.

I would be curious what some folks have experienced that have multiple ovations cases, etc. I would think that with the new contour bowl available with all the export models, cases would be readily available but I haven't found that to be the case (pun intended). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Don't want to order another case only to find out it is the same issue . Is there a really deep case that the contour bowl needs and should I worry about pressure on the top. Thanks in advance for any OFC folks that can provide some feedback

Some 8158 or 9158 cases will fit a Contour Bowl... some won't.
That is just the way it is.
And yes, a Mid-Depth Zero Gravity 8358 case will fit a Contour Bowl.
Or, at least my Painted-T and my Sweet-T both fit in my TKL Zero Gravity Ovation case.
Both are Contour Bowl.
Both of my Contour Bowl Ovations will fit in most 8158 cases...
But there are some 9158 cases that they won't fit in.

Good Luck in your Search.

and good luck finding a 9158 anyway, but i'm pretty confident an 8158 will work. My Adamas contour bowl fits in a 8158 nicely.

Thanks for the tips regarding the cases. I'll have to keep an eye out for the ones mentioned when they show up. The deluxe gig bag looks pretty sturdy as well and might come in handy.
