Man I've been gone a long time. The wife and I lost all our parents back to back, Forced into early retirement, had to sell the house and move south, downsized from 3,000 Sqft and 15 Acres in the woods of Northern Michigan to a 2 Bdrm condo in Gatlinburg TN. In the process of packing and moving had chest pains ending up with a stent in my heart. My "Man Cave" has turned into a Hercules 3-guitar stand.

...But we're alive, waking up looking at the Smokies every morning, and I can still play my guitar.

The storm has past and I feel blessed to have what I have.

...and to top it off, to find out that Ovation is back in the guitar business

good to hear from you again bvince . sounds like a rough year but it is in the past.
now at least you shouldn't have to wake up to 16 inches of snow and 25 below zero temps anymore.
hope everything gets better for you and the family and enjoy retirement , i did it a year ago and i love it.
good luck to you.GWB

Glad to here that dispite "life", you're doing okay.

Pam & I will get down that way again. When we do we'll see about a mini-gathering.

Here's my favorite place down there.

Pigeon Forge, but that's just a bit down the road from you.

Seems like we were just talking about trying to meet when I was in Traverse City. It's tough when the parents get old. My dad has been in the hospital for 2 days for his heart issues and my brothers and sister are taking shifts with my mom. I'm just feeling guilty for being so far from the rest of the family and hoping they make it through Christmas and at least until their granddaughter's wedding in July. The only thing to do is hang in there, as Slipkid's picture shows.

Best wishes bvince. I think many of us have had similar experiences, and none of them are fun. Hang in there. Merry Christmas and here's to a healthy and happy 2016.

Hello BVince!

Nice to meet you! I think you need to change your name to SuperMan - you have been through an awful lot of tough times, but now it is time for you to kick back and enjoy life! I am glad that they caught and fixed your ticker in time!

We can remind you of how much 'fun' you are missing shoveling snow, and falling down, you can relate looking out at the mountains everyday for us! Starting an entire new book of your life now, write it however you want it to be!
