Got this guitar Couple of questions -

1. How do reply to threads or post on the forums?

2. This is apparently a 1978 serial # 138407 no other info

3. I played my very first street gig last night(Granville, Vancouver), then my son tuned it up to pitch and bang! the bridge let loose but I am going to West system epoxy it back together should be beast!

Ooo... That sux.

Question 1: You cannot reply to posts until you are granted Full Access and Membership.
(and get your decoder ring... Not really) A moderator with grant you access when one sees you.

Question 2: That is a 1614 Folklore.

Statement 3: Just be sure to prepare the surfaces... The post picks when you are done.
(Before, During, and After pics are greatly appreciated)

I have a 1114 Folklore (no pickup)...
I put piezo surface transducer buttons in it, straight wired to the jack... no preamp.
But I don't take it out. I just play with it at home acoustically. But I really need to take it out.

Meanwhile, once a moderator comes along you should be granted access.
Until then... Welcome.

thanks for that info. This is in fact a "Cat Stevens" which I kinda suspected.. One of the songs in my street set was playing "wha do da children play" after a few minutes for remember the chords!

Bridge fix underway, set it with epoxy last night now detailing it will be back on line today.

Historic Granville street, hammered the (dead) strings so hard I got a blister. Lots of traffic noise.

Thanks looking forward to it - fix is done, just took overnight! Put on a set of Phosphors, set it up (action, truss rod adjust). Soldered the pickup.

Plays INSANELY well, and sounds so good. We have several professional grade instruments and this is firmly one of them! For $75 I'd say the best deal ever - notes for note.

Interestingly I'll be looking at another guitar, a 1767 this week.
