Location: Sydney, Australia | What guitar stands would you recommend for out of home use? I want light, small and Ovation compatible, but without putting my investment at risk by falling over. |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | (1) Hercules with the grippers on top
(2) Any other stand that allows the guitar to hang from the top
(3) Stands that cradle the neck
(4) A frames
(5) Light, small and portable folding stands
I must have over two dozen stands including all of the above, and its always the Hercules that I take out if there is any chance others will be walking around the guitar. |

Location: Central Massachusetts | I've had a Hercules GS301B for quite a while and it seems to do a decent job of holding acoustic O's. I tried their GS602B iStand for electric and I'm not sure I'd trust it someplace where it could be jostled... seems like the weight of the guitar wants to tip it over backwards. The acoustic iStand (GS601B) might work well, though, as the weight shouldn't be as much of a factor. |

I recently bought a Hercules Double Guitar Duo Stand GS422B for $69 delivered. They had the best price I could find, including the usual suspects in the US.

They also do a tripple @ $89.
Its bigger than the compact A-frames, but I like the security.
