Location: Italia, Zianigo di Mirano (Venezia) | Hi,I have a question: On the Custom Legend I had replaced the OP-Pro with the OP-Pro-Studio (with his can).Well, after a few weeks, the LED "battery low) flashes intermittently.
(on and off,on and off, approximately every 20 seconds).
..No sound problem. But ...... there is something wrong? On the other guitar ( a '87 Collector) that has the OP-24, there is still a battery that I bought it (a year ago). Any suggestions?

Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR | The OP-Pro Studio version eats batteries. So this is normal for it. (My VIP also eats batteries)
I have a Studio preamp that I drop-in to guitars because it is a more powerful preamp with more single note definition... But it will burn-up a battery pretty quick.
I always take and extra battery with me because I often have to change it.
Not every time... But often.
On the old OP-24 you might need to change the battery once a year (or more).
On the OP-Pro Studio you might need to change the battery for every show.
So, there is nothing wrong with your Studio preamp, that is just the way it is.
I recommend getting rechargeable batteries.

Location: Northwest Arkansas | I have an Op-Pro, Pro-Studio, VIP, OP-20, OP-50. The VIP is by far the worst about batteries. Then the Studio. I think it's a tie between my OP-Pro and the OP-50. I think I'll take the OP-Pro.

Location: Italia, Zianigo di Mirano (Venezia) | indeed! when I do not play the guitar is unplugged.and in recent times I have played very little.now I understand why the batteries run down quickly.the same thing happens to me with the VIP-5.
Thank you for having me explain the cause of the problem: are the OP-PRO-STUDIO and VIP-5 which eat batteries : they are insatiable .Solution :I'll buy a battery-charger

It allowed you to plug into the input jack with a cord that went to a device that checked the amount of juice left in your battery. I got one from him and have always used it before I head out for a gig. If the battery shows less than 1/2 power I will swap it out for a new one.....then when I get back I will put the older battery back in for practicing etc. It has also shown me that sometimes a NEW battery is not really fully charged. Really cool device that I think was under $30 but not sure.
