So in the end I got recommended a very good luthier, I had to drive a fair way to him, but it was worth it. A very professional guy with about 70 or so guitars at his workshop, and two guys working for him. A friend was going there to pick up his guitar, which played beautifully (it was a Takamine he had had set up), the work that was going on looked great too. There were 6 Ovations there, two USA legends and the rest Korean, so I was like a kid in a sweet shop
Anyway, my elite is having a total seeing to, neck reset and all the rest of it. He promised at first sight it would be "better than the day it came out of the factory" :-)
It's been two weeks now and today I spoke to him, he is very excited at the final results, and told me I won't believe how great it plays now, so I hope to be able to pick it up this weekened!!!
Here's hoping I finally have my first O, the way it should be!!
Thanks for listening, carry on... |

I took a photo of it in two halves, but it says the file is too big. Don't know how to change that so I won't. Will post pics when it's all finished |
