yesterday I change string on my CS257 put some D'ADDARIO EJ16, will doing so I remove on shim under the bridge a brown one 1 mm thick( it take's 3mm to make 1/8 of an inche)strung the guitar playe'd it the action is a LITTLE lower, but it now buzz at the 12th. freath the 3 small string and it feel's thighter to play at the cowboy freath 1/2/3/.any reason why this happen

1mm at the bridge will alter the action 1/2 mm at the 12th fret
Was the string grade the same?

Location: Michigan | If you drop the saddle you very well might get buzz. It should not feel harder to play at the cowboy frets. You decreased the amount of travel for the strings so it should be easier. Probaby not as noticable as if you dropped it at the nut. As AJ asked did you up the string dia? |

Location: Pacific Northwest Inland Empire | Might think about putting the shim back in, and having your nut altered. Maybe a quarter-turn, counterclockwise, on the trussrod nut. |

that's wath il do loosen the string and put the shim back and I will have my luthier look at the bone saddle and trussrod.
p.s. hey Chris im at page 30 so far so good love the story cant waith to ship the TEBET to Italy
