| Hi everyone, forgive me if this kind of question has been asked before, but I tried searching and couldn't find so here goes.
I bought this guy http://www.guitar-museum.com/guitar-21848-Ovation-1991-Collectors-s... from a guitar show in Seattle a few weeks ago (not from the auction on that site), and it is my first ovation. I bought it because playing it almost felt like an electric so easy to bend and bar, I was in love. However after getting it home and playing with it a little more I have some frustrations regarding the rounded body.
When playing standing up, my right arm pushes the guitar body against my stomach, and rotates the neck outwards a little bit, making my left hand have to reach a little more around. This is pretty frustrating for me and I have been trying to adjust the strap and how I hold to to accomodate but haven't come up with anything solid just yet. Anyone else have similar problems? |

Location: Upper Left USA | The "roll" you talk about comes from leaning the Right Fore arm on the guitar - which isn't a good habit.
And Welcome!
I take it you are near the Seattle area? |

| Yeah I'm in Bellevue, I've been here for about 2 years working for Microsoft, play guitar in my spare time.
So clarify for me, I'm not supposed to lean my arm against the guitar? Is it just supposed to be held out there by my arm muscles? |

| I've never found it to be a problem - actually I'd never heard of this until registering on here - could be I've just had the guitar so long that I adapted to it. |

Nice guitar! I almost bought one of those 7/8months ago. Ended up getting my 1758 instead. |
